June 2, 2013 - North Bend to Waldport, Oregon
The Oregon coastline is incredibly beautiful I'm glad Steve is doing the driving because I would have a hard time keeping my eyes on the road with such spectacular scenery along the roadway. Today was just a short drive (less than 100 miles) from the KOA campground in North Bend, Oregon to the KOA in Waldport. Our camp site here sits right on the Alsea Bay. We can look out our windows and sea the sea lions sunning themselves on the sand bars in the middle of the bay. It's pupping season now for the sea lions and there are lots of little ones. Tomorrow we're going to explore the area around Newport, Oregon. There are more lighthouses to see and a couple of old covered bridges we'd like to find.
